at the Johns Hopkins Heart Institute
Healing Hearts was established in 2005 in memory of Bonnie Milner, whose life was tragically cut short just 2 weeks after her 26th birthday. The cause of her death was a rare congenital heart disease called Arrythmogenic Right Ventricular Dysplasia (ARVD).
The Mission of Healing Hearts is to:
• Increase awareness of ARVD through fundraising activities and special events to help prevent such tragedy from reaching other families.
• Raise funds for the Johns Hopkins Heart Institute's ARVD research program to improve the prevention, detection, and treatment of the disease.
• Honor the memory of an incredible 26 year old devoted daughter and beloved best friend.
So far Healing Hearts has been able to raise over $80,000 for ARVD research at the Johns Hopkins Heart Institute.
