About Bonnie Milner

On February 25, 1979, Bonnie Lynn Milner was born the only child of Bill and Brenda, becoming their pride and joy. Grades one through eight were spent attending Resurrection St. Paul School in Ellicott City, MD. When it came time to choose a high school, she eagerly chose to attend Mt. De Sales Academy in Catonsville, MD. While there Bonnie was known as a gifted athlete, concentrating a large majority of her time on basketball and softball. She was a role model to her teammates and a gift to her coaches. Her active role in Yearbook, SADD, Sodality, and Student Council allowed her to also be an integral part of the community.

Even with the demand of her extra curricular activities, Bonnie still maintained her focus on academics. Her hard work and dedication earned her recognition as an honor roll student and during her time at Mt. De Sales she was awarded the distinction "Who's Who Among High School Students". Waynesburg College in Pennsylvania is where she earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Sociology. Bonnie continued her pursuit of academic excellence by becoming a member of Psi Chi, the Psychology National Honor Society, and being a regular on the Dean's List. She again was awarded the distinction "Who's Who Among Colleges and Universities". She went on to earn her Master's Degree in Social Work at University of Maryland at Baltimore.

Bonnie began a career in social work for Howard County because of her love for children and her desire to change the world. Even through the challenges and hardships of this position, the lives of the numerous children she saved made it worthwhile to her. Bonnie was always a symbol of strength, courage, and confidence. After her career in social work, she became part of the Social Security Administration. Though there only a short time, she learned many new skills and impacted many people with her charisma.

On March 8, 2005, shortly after her 26th birthday, Bonnie's life was unexpectedly cut short. We learned the cause of this unfortunate event was Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Dysplasia (ARVD), a rare disease.

Throughout her life, Bonnie's main priority was always her family. Even with her hectic lifestyle, she always remained a devoted daughter. Bonnie had a strong faith in God and always held firm to her morals and values. Her balance of responsibility and her free spirit made her an amazing and unique individual. Bonnie was the epitome of friendship because of her honesty, undying loyalty, and caring heart. She embraced life with a smile on her face and love in her heart. Her life although short, left a lasting impression on many people.
