The Division of Cardiology at Johns Hopkins is poised and committed to solve the problems of diagnosing, treating and understanding ARVD. New clinical procedures, devices and medications are extending and saving lives, offering patients hope not available as recently as a decade ago. Hopkins physicians and scientists are working to understand the role of genetics in ARVD; multi-disciplinary research efforts span the fields of genetics, pediatrics, pathology and radiology. The Fund for Research in ARVD was created to support these research efforts and to promote clinical and biomedical research of Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Dysplasia.
